Microsoft A/S
Microsoft’s biggest development centre in Europe, Microsoft Development Centre Copenhagen, is located in Vedbæk. MDCC was established in connection with Microsoft’s acquisition of the Danish company Navision in 2002. Today, the centre employs 850 people representing more than 46 different nationalities. The centre is devoted to developing next generation of business solutions for the global market.

Microsoft was founded in 1975 and is the worlds leading company within software, services and solutions that provides the opportunity for users to maximize their capabilities. 

For the second year running, Microsoft was voted Denmark’s best workplace in 2007.

Alectia A/S
Alectia A/S, with its head office in Teknikerbyen in Virum, is one of Denmark’s leading firms of consultants. Until January 2008 the company was known as Birch & Krogboe A/S.

Alectia specialises in solutions within construction, pharmaceuticals, breweries, hospitals, dairy plants, water supplies and work environments, and offers core competencies within consultancy services for building owners, environment, fire, energy and sustainability.

Alectia has customers throughout Denmark and on all continents. The company employs 745 staff at its head office in Teknikerbyen in Virum and at six other towns and cities throughout Denmark. In addition, a large number of staff are stationed overseas to manage the company’s steadily growing international customer portfolio.

Several company acquisitions in recent years have positioned Alectia A/S as a market leader in both the construction and work environment sectors, and ensured the company a leading role within water supply and dairy plants.
